My Business Centre was founded in 2002 to provide a full range of business services, so not only can we do your year end work we can also look after all your accounting functions throughout the year. You can pick and choose the services you require; choosing as comprehensive a package as you like.

Our aim is to help offer a service that frees up your time to concentrate on running your business and leave the other bits to us.

We understand that the main dislikes people have with their accountant are:

• They can never speak to them – we assign a team member to be your main contact and this person will always return calls and emails
• They don’t understand their business – we make sure that we understand your business and for clients that use our full services we become an integral part of your team
• They take too long to produce our accounts – we guarantee a six week turn around on year end accounts
• They are too expensive – we keep our overheads to a minimum, no plush offices or flash company cars. We offer a value for money service and run our business with the same tight reins that you probably run yours

Our Goal

For small to medium businesses our long term goal is to be a "one stop shop”. With this in mind we are adding other business services all the time. We already offer simple web sites with hosting, a recommendation for a virtual reception service and a full company secretarial service along with all the financial services such as payroll and VAT that you would expect to see from an accountancy business. We will update the website as more services are offered.

As a team we are all friendly, approachable, down to earth and committed to providing the best service possible. We are completely deadline driven but this is balanced with a desire to provide impeccable client service.

Fiona Rook ACA BSc (hons) - Director

Fiona founded the company in 2002 and is a Qualified Chartered Accountant; she specialises in consultancy work and project management assignments. Fiona lives in Exbourne with her partner Peter. She enjoys growing vegetables, playing badminton and home renovations.

Claire Tucker ACCA – Accounts and Tax Manager

Claire qualified as a Certified Accountant in February 2007 and looks after our accounts and tax clients. Claire is married and lives in South Zeal with her husband, Paul, and their daughter. In her spare time, Claire enjoys socialising, undertaking DIY projects at home (with a great deal of help!) and is a rugby fan.

Jacky Davey - Accounts Assistant

Jacky is responsible for our book-keeping and payroll services and assists with book keeping, VAT and accounts preparation. She is married to John and lives in South Zeal with her 3 children plus Stan the dog, Tiggy the rabbit and Spike the hedgehog.

Sharon Gorman ACCA - Accounts and Tax Manager

Sharon joined in October 2010, and looks after our accounts and tax clients. She is married to Simon and they live in Folly Gate with their son plus Taz the moggie and two chickens Mary and Alice.

Sue Owen - Accounts Assistant

Sue has over 30 years experience in both computerised and manual book-keeping. She helps our clients keep their records in good order. Sue is married to Chris and lives in Whiddon Down and in her spare time she enjoys gardening – which is just as well as they have quite a sizeable plot.
